Joe’s Sports & Outdoor has appointed Jill R. Inskeep as its human resources manager. In her new role, Inskeep will oversee the company’s recruitment and hiring, training, employee performance assessment, career development, employee relations, compensation, and other matters. Inskeep brings to the company more than 20 years of experience in human resources. Prior to joining Joe’s Sports & Outdoor, she worked for various organizations in the Northwest, including WebMD, Tektronix, Epson, and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Penn State to introduce online master's program in human resources and employment relations
Penn State will introduce a new online master's degree program in human resources and employment relations. The online program will address such subjects as countering employee attrition, managing complex benefit plans, and staying up-to-date on labor laws and employment relations trends. The program will help professionals advance their careers by allowing them to pursue degrees while working. Courses will commence in the summer of 2008. Penn State's adult online education program provides more than 50 graduate, undergraduate, and professional courses of study via convenient online formats.
