Let's get down to the basics. Securing your dream job require a system like every other ventures in life. You get to put everything in place for things to be in place. No right thinking employer will ever employ a prospective applicant based on sentiments or emotions. All employers set up businesses with an intention to make profit. Making profits require an intelligent mix of the 5Ms (Materials, Machines, Money, Men, Methods).

Of these 5Ms, employers place more premium on the ''Men'' factor. Without the right human capital, all other Ms become worthless. Can you see the drift? Do you know too that many of mankind's accumulated wealth and businesses have been destroyed by placing ''square pegs in round holes?''

If you wish to work for a particular company you can. But you cannot just walk up to their premises/office and take up a sit! You need to:
  • Be eligible for the post you wish to apply
  • Apply for the position
  • Attend an interview when you are short listed and called upon
  • Demystify every belief that you are not suitable for the job
  • Prove beyond every reasonable doubt that you are competent to take up that position with respect to your knowledge, skill, experience and your ''native ability'' which you wish to bring to your prospective employer.
All said, let us briefly discuss the essential ingredients that will enable you secure that dream job, namely: knowledge, skill, experience and native ability closely.

Knowledge
This is essentially the facts, information, understanding and skills that a person has acquired through previous work or education. You can acquire knowledge through formal education, attending seminars, undergoing apprenticeship, and so on.

Skill
Skill is the ability to do something well. This can be attained through experience on work or training.

Experience
This is the process of gaining knowledge or skill over a period of time through ''seeing and doing'' things rather than through studying.

Native Ability
This is the natural or acquired tendency to be able to do things well and as it should be done. The foregoing is prerequisite to securing your dream job. If you don't have any of them, acquire it.

Packaging
Remember, to be able to marry a Princess you must be princely in every of your ways: your gait, your talk and diction, your background, your presentation, you name it. So succeeding in job interviews and clinching your dream job needs packaging.

What answers to say to interview questions and your intelligent quotient is sine qua non to be the Chosen Few.
