Mission Operations Solutions (a product line of IIS) is currently seeking an HR professional for the position of Consulting HR Generalist. In this position, you will be responsible for working in a matrixed organization.
The HR Generalist will be part of a Human Resources team helping to build strategy, improve organizational performance, and develop organizational capability for their assigned area.
The selected candidate will partner with leaders as a coach on topics including talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Additional areas of responsibility include facilitating the design and delivery of processes that enable the business to meet business objectives. The HR Generalist must be innovative and adapt well to change. The successful candidate must foster a strong customer service orientation, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization.
On occasion, you will be called upon to matrix and support capture efforts in any of the Product Lines to include
developing staffing plans and compensation & benefit offerings, supporting pricing efforts, writing/editing the HR-related sections of proposals, and transitioning new contracts. Participates in business development strategy sessions, color team reviews, and gate reviews.
Responsibilities
(Essential Functions)
Serves as a HR Generalist focusing on brokering solutions to business problems.
Collaborates with other HR professionals and HR Managers in delivering quality support to the client groups.
Helps to coordinate Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, and knowledge transfer and talent acquisition.
Plans
, organizes and administers Human Resources programs, processes and activities for client group.
Communicates and implements pro-active employee relations strategies pertaining to employee relations, team-based initiatives, training, leadership development, employee communications, and compensation and benefits in support of the goals and strategic objectives.
Investigates and helps to resolve Employee Relations issues and complaints, including ADR case investigations.
Focuses on creating a positive employee relations environment and culture.
Counsels leadership on matters concerning development of staff to enhance effectiveness and potential.
Ability to shift emphasis from resolving issues for others to building leadership capabilities that address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment.
Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees with regard to programs, policies and procedures.
Educates leaders and employees on Raytheon’s performance management program.
Travels to offsite facilities in support of HR programs, leadership development, conflict resolution and case investigations.
Participates in and promotes a team environment by working with own organization and other organizations in the accomplishment of team responsibilities and objectives
Required Skills:
Must bring Senior HR Generalist skill set and possess a minimum of 8 years of broad-based experience in HR
Excellent team building skills, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
Must have strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal.
Strong business acumen and understanding of the HR strategic partnership in driving business results.
Ability to influence and manage change with a passion for HR and a proven track record.
Ability to adapt to various cultures and work in multi cultural environments
Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and handle high levels of confidentiality.
Experience in providing support in a matrix organization, with solid and dotted line reporting.
Extensive knowledge and experience using Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
Experience working in a federal government contracting environment, preferably in the defense industry.
TS/SCI Clearance
Proposal writing experience
Knowledge of labor unions and Service Contract Act
Experience using PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse
Ability to influence in a matrix organization.
PHR or SPHR. MBA
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
