Growing company in Austin, Texas is currently conducting a search for a Payroll Manager. This individual will oversee the accuracy of time keeping and payroll processing for a growing company with locations in multi-states. This individual will manage staff responsible for processing weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payrolls. Key Responsibilities o Implement, review and refine processes to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately o Responsible for communicating with all levels of management to train staff and resolve issues as they arise o Responsible for ensuring garnishments are properly deducted and paid to appropriate entity o Continuous training of payroll staff o Develops and maintains payroll tracking systems as needed o Must work cross-functionally with HR, IT and Accounting departments to maintain integrity of payroll data o Assists with quarterly reconciliation between payroll records and federal and state reports o Responsible for creating ad-hoc reports as requested by management o Makes continuous process improvement recommendations to management o Will supervise a staff of 20 employees QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: o Familiarity with a variety of payroll system software and timekeeping software o Very detail-oriented o Strong Excel and Access skills o Professional demeanor, high integrity, confidentiality and discretion o Team player with excellent people and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: o Must have previous payroll supervisory experience, and the ability to deal with a variety of time feeds and systems o Must have PeopleSoft Payroll experience o Kronos and/or Time Force time keeping systems is preferred o Horizon experience is preferred, but not required o Experience working in the healthcare industry is a plus o CPP designation is preferred o Experience working in a high-growth, multi-site environment o Must be customer service focused o Must be able to train end users and staff on process changes Education: None Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional Licenses: None Total Years of Experience: 7-8 Years of Experience in Present Position: 3-4 |
