Please visit our Web site at **** Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY Responsible for defining, developing and implementing strategic human resource initiatives of the assigned regions business plan. Responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance, training and support for human resources issues in an assigned region. Acts as the liaison between corporate HR and the regional operations. Responsible for managing all HR assets within the region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Implements required initiatives and best-demonstrated human resources practices in conjunction with management.
Provides strategic Human Resources insight into operational issues and goals.
Assists leadership in areas of responsibility in developing the employees with in the region; manages the training and development for the region.
Ensures that areas of responsibility adhere to the corporate policies and procedures and are in compliance with applicable Human Resources requirements.
Provides interpretation of corporate policies and procedures; guides managers in handling sensitive issues in regard to performance management and other employee relations matters.
Designs, directs and conducts training programs on topics including sexual harassment, selection, motivation, office productivity, performance management and diversity.
Assists management in identifying, analyzing and resolving human resources issues.
Prepares and audits data to ensure appropriate business decisions are being made within the region.
Provides recommendations on all aspects of Human Resources based on the needs of the region being supported.
Receives monthly reports for analysis and interpretation on employee level detail.
Use data to make educated decisions and suggestions to management.
Enhances employee and management performance by identifying training and development needs; offering and evaluating appropriate training programs; ensuring effective utilization of performance management feedback systems and processes.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages the planning, organization, and controls for separate activities in a department. Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors within a department.
Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating direct reports.
Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation for entire department. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 12- 15 years of related experience and/or training Master’s degree (MA/MS) preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Certificate in Human Resources Management preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and to maintain confidentiality. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Able to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts complex financial/business analysis including the preparation of complex reports. Prepares and manages departmental budget.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results.
