She/he must demonstrate the combination of business acumen and Human Resource functional knowledge to guide the development of HR strategies that will attract, develop and retain the breadth of talent who will drive business success.
Reporting to the South Division President, the VP participates as a business partner and member of the executive team. As such this individual will contribute to overall strategy and business plans both from a broad business perspective and with a focus on most effectively investing in, developing and leading the human resources of the division. In collaboration and alignment with her/his divisional peers and corporate HR leaders, the VP HR will have responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources management in the Southern Division including talent acquisition and talent management strategies, compensation and benefits, organization development, training and leadership development, diversity, and employee relations. The individual will have specific focus on developing and sustaining a culture that promotes a customer centric and innovative employee climate that is aligned with the business’ goals and objectives.
Project Successful Profile: The ideal candidate will have a strong background of demonstrated Human Resources leadership, having driven HR programs in rapidly developing, changing and competitive environment within a Fortune 500 company that has multi state/business unit operations.
Tasks Key Functional Expertise: - Recognized Leader with a proven track record of successfully leading a large (5000+) group of employees by positive influence and direction - Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence at multiple levels, cross boundaries and functions - Broad business and financial understanding; has applied financial acumen to budgeting, cost projections, metrics - Established record of being a true “business partner” that is imbedded in the business with deep comprehension of business strategies and imperatives; with demonstrated success of a proactive approach building and aligning HR programs to meet the those objectives - Take consultative approach with Division President and other Business Unit Leaders to provide a clear understanding of the human resource impact of operational and financial decisions under consideration. - Specific expertise in employee relations and compensation - Strong analytical skills; ability to leverage data to identify trends and recommend business solutions - Ability to leverage technology and systems to maximize efficiencies - Be the steward of the people and conscience of the organization to advocate of the Company always doing the right thing the customers and employees
Requirements Requirements: - 15+ years Human Resources/business experience, with at least 5 years in senior management roles - Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, change management - Ability to travel at minimum of 25% - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
