Information Technology Human Resources Consultant/Business Partner Oakland, CA Information Technology Human Resources is in the midst of a significant transfo rmation of HR foundational and advanced systems and practices, with short-, interim-, and long-term initiatives that will strategically position Information Technology as a world-class health IT organization. The Human Resources Consul tant/Business Partner (HRC/BP) is his/her clients' initial point of contact responsible for the delivery of integrated HR services across all core HR functional areas. The HR Consultant is expected to assemble, coordinate, and lead workgroups from other HR centers of expertise for the delivery of HR products and services. At these levels, organizational development and leadership activities are not incidental to the core set of responsibilities. The HRC/BP fulfills four roles in support of his/her IT clients: 1) execute and interpret existing policies and practices, 2) respond effectively to urgent situations, 3) facilitate employee issues toward resolution, and 4) design and/or deploy programs and solutions to address organizational strategies and chronic challenges. The HRC/BP will predominantly act in concert with team direction and activities, and will be capable of also acting autonomously, when appropriate. Essential Functions: - Create and/or implement strategic plans to increase client group effectiveness. - Coach management and non-management employees on performance leadership development. - Identify and coordinate timely training solutions and services. - Advise clients regarding short-, intermediate- and long-term organizational and individual staff decisions covering employee relations, compensation, staffing, terminations, organiza tional design, development planning, organizational changes, and other business needs. - Design, contribute to development, and/or implement the IT HR Strategic Roadmap plans, on-time and on-budget. - Interpret and uphold HR policies and practices; advocate changes where appropriate. - Lead, plan, and/or contribute to complex team objectives to support clients, IT and/or broader groups within KP. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or four years of additional equivalent work experience. - Minimum of eight years experience in a client-facing HR Consulting capacity in medium-sized organizations. - At least 5 years experience in financial services, healthcare, and/or other related service industry. - Demonstrated expertise and effectiveness with change leadership, organizational design, leadership development, compensation, legal and regulatory requirements, investigations, employee and labor relations. - Must demonstrate agility as an individual contributor while also acting as an integral part of a highly effective team. - Must demonstrate highly effective partnering and influencing capabilities, and strategic systems thinking. - Team/project leadership expertise, highly-effective communications, and a clear eye toward continuous improvement are essential to success.
