Cabela's Retail, Inc is hiring a Human Resource Representative / Manager based off of qualifications for our new Retail Showroom in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position is a critical link to our employees and customers. This is an exciting opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts. This position's duties include: Ensures all employee reviews are completed in a timely manner Responsible for the training of employees including: new employee orientation, safety training, and supervisory training Evaluates and conducts employee position testing Develops and implements safety procedures, rules, regulations, and accident prevention programs for facility in cooperation with corporate Safety Coordinator Conducts safety inspections and coordinates safety committee meetings Responsible for maintaining current and complete personnel files on each employee of the facility Responsible for insuring facility is in compliance with all applicable corporate policies and government regulations including but not limited to: Affirmative Action, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and Fair Labor Practices Develops, recommends, and maintains programs for effective employee relations Works in conjunction with management to interview and select personnel Administers corporate benefit programs including enrollment and education of such programs Responsible for continual assessment of organizational effectiveness Facilitates the identification of organizational development solutions and assists management in implementing appropriate actions for improvement Perform other related duties as assigned by management This position requires: Bachelor degree in human resource management or related field plus one to seven years related experience Extensive knowledge of human resource practices and principles Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations Skill in operating personal computer and human resource software packages Ability to create an efficient work environment with minimal supervision Ability to communicate with employees, customers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner Ability to effectively function as a team player Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures Looking for a solutions-oriented individual who possesses the ability to handle complex employee and customer issues in a diplomatic manner Strong Verbal & Written communication skills Cabela's offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including, generous product discounts, 401K savings plan, and Health and Dental coverage for you and your family.
