The HR Business Consultant-Compensation is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that provide for competitiveness in the market place. This includes providing advice and counsel to all levels of Management regarding pay equity. This position has broad discretion and decision making authority for compensation issues and is a stakeholder over SOX key controls. Minimum Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and minimum 5 years of compensation experience with strong technical competency in compensation theory, design and practices. · Extensive previous and progressive experience with job evaluation methodologies to include exempt/non-exempt determination. · Extensive experience and knowledge of federal and state labor laws as they pertain to pay practices. · Demonstrated competency in a Windows environment to include a working knowledge of spreadsheets and word-processing applications. · Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage change effectively in a fast-paced environment. · Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Preferred Requirements: · MBA or related Master’s degree and/or Certification as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through WorldatWork. · Experience working with Hay Point factor evaluation methodology. · Experience working with executive compensation programs. · Functional experience with PeopleSoft or another Human Resources Information System (HRIS). · Project management experience and problem solving skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit at a PC for long periods of time.
