Job Title HR/Payroll Assistant
Job Profile Providian Staffing is seeking talented professionals, who love what they do, excel to achieve their goals, and who want to build an exciting career. Detail oriented, multi-tasking skills and capable of working in a
fast paced environment!
Duties include, but not limited to;
Assist with the payroll process for multiple locations. Accurately verify timecards, and enter or adjust any discrepancies with hours/information. Prepare reports for Client or Management as requested. Print invoices, sort and prepare for mail. Accurately file all invoices prepare A/R checks for deposit, ect. Collection calls on past due A/R invoices establishing rapport with customers.
Recruit, test, interview, and select employees to fill vacant positions. Conduct all pre-employment verifications.
Process garnishments, vacation requests, unemployment claims, employment verifications, and leaves of absences. Assist employees with questions regarding medical and dental benefit coverage. Maintain and process all paperwork for benefits.
Administer FMLA or PDL leaves of absences, ensuring adherence of policies. Process COBRA information. Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs for appropriate resolution of employee issues. Organize and manage all employee files keeping record of all confidential information. Prepare employee separation notices and related documents, and conduct exit interviews.
Knowledge of wage and labor laws for California and research laws for other states as requested by mamagement. Prepare and instruct safety meetings or other meetings necessary as requested.

Requirements
*Capable of working in a very busy environment.
*knowledge of employment laws
*Position may require some travel when assigned.
*Requires walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching, stretching, bending, hand/physical dexterity and computer usage for prolonged periods of time.
*Position may require after-hours assistance or involvement
*Position may require working weekends and holidays.
*Minumum of 3 years experience in all areas.
*Microsoft word/excel, & outlook.
*Must be reliable and have reliable transportation.
*Ability to be detail oriented
*Well organized problem solver
*Self motivated
