Summary: This Process Champion will be a member of the Human Capital Management (HCM) functional project team for METTLER TOLEDO’s global implementation of SAP. It is based in Columbus, OH and has a primary focus on the implementation of the SAP HCM functionality across the company’s US business units. This Process Champion may also be asked to assist with SAP HCM implementation steps in other regions (Europe, Asia/Pacific) as needed. General Process Champion Responsibilities: o Represent the global needs, perspectives and interests of your areas of expertise within your process team. (Possibly a focus on a specific country depending on functional team needs, i.e. HCM, FIN) o Clearly communicate your experiences to the rest of your functional teams and/or during interactions with other teams. (Cannot be afraid or hesitant to speak up.) o Define, configure, document the SAP process(es) you are given responsibility for o Additional, related activities include o Development of “end user” training materials o Execution of training as is needed o Testing configuration in system o Interface with SMEs and Key Users to broaden / deepen your own perspectives and experiences as related to the processes o Coordinate the use of Key Users within your process(es) o Be the expert on your process(es) as related to its global use within Mettler Toledo General Process Champion Skills Set Required: o Ability to be a change-agent within the organization and remain visibly positive to all work groups o Ability to quickly adapt to changing and conflicting priorities o Ability to multi-task and not lose perspective of the overall project goals o Ability to work in a team environment while staying focused on individual targets. o Ability to conceptualize, integrate, filter and consolidate business and system requirements quickly to better o Manage the balance between detail and overview in order to o Address need to meet due dates on deliverables o Integrate needs and impacts of processes outside of your area of focus o Deal with what is considered in scope and changes in scope o Strong verbal and written communications skills o Clear verbal skills within small and large groups o Clear, concise written communication o Strong documentation skills o Excellent computer skills especially Excel and Power Point; ability to quickly pick up new computer programs. o Strong English skills; language appropriate for working location a strong plus (comfort in presenting in local language a plus for training and translation of training materials) o Experience working in or other attributes that would demonstrate ability to effectively work a global environment including o Positive multi-cultural team experiences o Flexibility to work and live in an environment other than their home country o Flexibility to travel domestically and globally on a frequent basis. Travel may approach 50% of overall year’s hours. (must have a valid passport) o Self-starter o Demonstrated willingness to learn and execute with minimal direction o Ability to self-train o High tolerance for change and vague guidance o Must be willing to work long hours in order to meet challenging time lines and competing priorities, including occasional weekend work and an acceptance of vacation black-out periods.
