HR Recruiting Manager Jobs

A recruiting manager works with line managers within his or her own organization but also with external agencies such as job centers and recruitment agencies. A recruiting manager manages the redeployment of existing employees and, on occasion, assists with the implementation of redundancy programs. A recruiting manager prepares job descriptions and personnel specifications, writes job advertisements, and also decides how and where jobs are advertised. A recruiting manager may also prepare other recruitment material (for example, brochures and pamphlets) depending on the type of organization in question. A recruiting manager develops creative recruitment solutions if the organization is experiencing difficulties in attracting the appropriate level and quality of staff. A recruiting manager initiates, runs, and evaluates selection processes including interviews, psychometric tests, personality questionnaires, and various group activities. A recruiting manager keeps abreast of current employment legislation and ensures that line managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes. A recruiting manager trains staff in interviewing techniques and on the role of the assessor at a selection center. A recruiting manager develops plans to relocate staff to new departments and jobs due to restructuring within an organization.

A recruiting manager job requires a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance/accounting, or a related field plus three to four years of full-cycle recruiting experience as a recruiter. A recruiting manager should have the ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy, communicative environment. Excellent communication skills are required.
