HR Assistant Jobs
An HR assistant's job involves general HR duties such as file and database maintenance, report generation, and other HR-related functions. As an HR assistant, one interacts daily with employees to answer questions and requests, assists in the recruiting process by verifying employment histories, and schedules meetings and interviews. In addition, an HR assistant also provides clerical support to the HR department and the senior executive team. HR assistant jobs also often involve the management and maintenance of employee personnel files and all requests pertaining to employment verification and reporting.
HR assistants typically have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification in addition to specialized training in a relevant business field. One to four years of experience in HR or related fields is generally required to become an HR assistant. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and above average multitasking abilities are essential for HR assistant jobs.
