Profile

The Manager, HRIS will drive the successful delivery of HRIS (Workday) and supporting business processes, contributing as a subject matter expert to the development and execution of a strategy for operational excellence within the HR function. This includes the specification, development and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports and policies and procedures for internal use.

Specifically, responsibilities will include



  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership regarding HRIS (Workday), as well as other HR systems and tools, supporting processes and reporting.


  • Designs and executes implementation and upgrade methodology, testing, budgeting, project metrics, and status reporting.


  • Act as a liaison between human resources and key business partners including Finance, Payroll, IT and Internal Audit. Build and manage stakeholder relationships with the ability to keep stakeholders engaged, responsible and proactive in working toward deliverable goals and objectives.


  • Act as project manager for assigned HR technology or process projects, including managing project team activities, tasks, deliverables and timelines. Tracks project progress and manages expectations through successful project completion.


  • Recommend plans for continued process improvements, system enhancements and new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.


  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries. Develop and optimize standard reports for ongoing customer needs.


  • Configuration/Setup of business data.


  • Design and maintenance of application (Workday) security.


  • Contribute to change management and training efforts.


  • Leads groups in business process reengineering, best practices, and configuration around semi-annual Workday updates.


  • Acts as a liaison between the internal project team, executive team and other key stakeholders.


  • Provides regression testing and contingency plans to assure project objectives are met.


  • Seeks innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to employees.


  • Consistently produce clear, concise and accurate status reports.




Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree required.


  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing Workday projects with global clients.


  • Minimum three years Workday HR functional experience with at least three of the following products: Core HCM (required), Recruiting, Performance Management, Learning, Time-Tracking and Absence Management.


  • Minimum five plus years of experience with a primary area of focus for HCM systems.


  • Strong aptitude with key Workday foundational components including business processes, reporting, calculated fields and security.


  • Experience in a consulting or other professional services environment strongly preferred.


  • Strong technical aptitude, technology knowledge desired.


  • Proven project management experience in a global environment.
