Role/Responsibilities

In this newly formed position, the SVP, Organizational Effectiveness will lead global talent development, organizational effectiveness, and learning through proven processes and methodologies within each of the Moody's businesses and regions. This leader will be the point of contact for the Corporate Functional Leaders as well as lead a team of 4 OE Partners who will be aligned to a business unit or region.

The SVP, Organizational Effectiveness will oversee and guide their team to provide consultative services and implement best in class solutions in the areas of organizational effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement, change leadership, career development while ensuring D&I is embedded throughout all talent programs and practices.

The SVP, Organizational Effectiveness will work collaboratively with the MD, Global Talent Management, MD, Diversity & Inclusion, SVP, Talent Development, SVP, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, COE's, and business leaders to drive the talent and organizational effectiveness agenda that will allow Moody's to achieve above market growth.

Candidate must have substantial business experience and proven expertise in the areas of talent development, organizational effectiveness, and learning. The SVP, Organizational Effectiveness will report directly to the MD, Global Talent Management.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and drive the global talent and organizational strategy and long-term roadmap. Act as the point of contact to the MSS business Seek to understand the MSS, MA and MIS businesses to be an effective business partner. Build, develop and lead a team of 4 professionals who will contribute to strategic insight and ensure execution and reinforcement of all programs and processes; will provide ongoing performance discussions and feedback, and provide robust development and career plans. Define and oversee cross-company integration programs and projects with specific members of direct team (i.e. Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Design, Career Development, and Change Leadership). Create and implement learning and development strategies to ensure that Moody's has the required human capital to meet its strategic business objectives. Partner with Talent Acquisition to define a workforce planning definition and approach for Moody's. Create a diverse and inclusive culture by ensuring D&I is embedded in talent development strategy, programs and all talent initiatives. Implement core and common organizational effectiveness tools (i.e. EOS, 360 feedback, NLA) to ensure maximum engagement and continuous improvement of the Moody's leaders at large. Evaluate strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals. Provide consultative services to the business units regarding mentoring; plan and lead short- and long-term planning for Talent Development, OE, and Learning programs. Assist with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding Talent Development, OE, and Learning methods and tools. Prepare budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources. Deploy enterprise initiatives, best-in-class tools and processes (e.g., talent reviews/succession planning created by the SVP, Talent Development team) Share best practices from LOB/region across the team

Experience and Leadership Traits:

Led talent development and organization design in a progressive, “high-bar for talent” environment. Known for innovative thinking, strong domain expert, thought leader as well as a very practical operator adept at driving execution of programs and processes. Success driving large scale change. Have the experience, maturity, executive presence and judgment to gain credibility and respect among business leaders and HR leaders; experience dealing with senior leadership teams in large organizations whereby influencing without authority is a key attribute of successful performance. Reputation for working exceptionally well in partnership with company leaders and human resource colleagues for driving positive change. Experience developing customized approaches that leverage and complement the business culture. Demonstrate the ability to develop a vision and strategy while working in a hands-on, collaborative manner. Demonstrates superior influence skills; is able to communicate effectively and confidently with all levels of the organizations.

Comfortable with ambiguity; navigates confidently; adapts to change. Strong measurement bias and the ability to translate talent management activities into measurable outcomes. Demonstrated strong people management capability.
