Strategic Staffing and Sourcing: This position will assist the Talent Acquisition Team with recruiting and sourcing for Engineering positions in Entergy Corporation.
*Assists in developing innovative and cost-effective recruiting strategies and processes, including nontraditional techniques such as online and other social networking sites *Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of staff positions and establish strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders to understand position needs and effectively design company wide recruitment strategies *Performs recruitment and hiring processes for positions (Specifically Engineering) throughout the organization. Maintains accurate and comprehensive recruitment files, using testing results and previous candidate qualification. Create and develop strategic business to business relationships *Prioritizes work, effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, possesses sound reasoning and problem-solving skills, functions as a team member as well as works independently, develops and conducts presentations to management *Maintains and distributes up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations *Travel to career fairs, high schools and/or colleges and universities to help recruit for the co-op, internship and professionals on a needed basis within Entergy's recruiting territory *Must be solution-oriented, understand the market in which sourcing is needed, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and great interpersonal skills to assist with relationship building with hiring managers, colleges and universities. Routinely markets and sells the Entergy brand to prospective candidates during targeted information sessions; excellent verbal communication and presentation skills are a must *Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers *Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule *Monitor and apply human resources recruiting best practices *Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process *Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites and working with 3rd party vendors *Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications *Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc *Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media etc *Screen candidate's resumes and job applications *Ability to manage projects - Develop methods of organizing engineering jobs throughout the company. Have the ability to move candidates throughout the entire organization.
Minimum education required of the position:
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position:
4+ years of relevant HR recruiting or sourcing experience with a bachelor's degree; 8+ years of relevant HR recruiting or sourcing experience without a bachelor's degree.
*Exempt and Non-exempt hiring/recruiting *Proficiency using an Applicant Tracking System - SuccessFactors experience is a plus *Full life cycle recruiting and sourcing for a variety of positions - Engineering is a plus *Experience with PeopleSoft HRIS applications and COGNOS *Excel and Microsoft product knowledge preferred *SHRM/PHR *Be adaptable to change and recruit for other positions within the company
