Job Description

Global HRIS Business and Data Analyst, Chicago

We are currently seeking a Business and Data Analyst for our growing Global HRIS team. As a Business and Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working closely with a HRIS Regional Lead and the business to understand and collate requirements, recommend improvements and work closely with IT to advise on configuration. In addition, you will partner with HR Shared Services to resolve complex systems queries, escalating to expert technical teams as appropriate. Our ideal candidate will be based in Chicago, however we will consider other qualified candidates in Illinois.

What this job involves:

Act as a main point of contact for the business to understand system needs

Documents requirements, discuss impact of requested system changes and new configuration with IT

Assist user acceptance tester by developing test cases / scripts and recommendations for configuration changes

Work with the user acceptance tester to communicate recommend changes to IT for configuration

Maintain change log and design documentation to ensure there is an audit of changes to business processes post execution

Communicate impact of configuration changes to global business process owners and system users

Respond to basic reporting requests by creating and updating custom reports

Utilise business knowledge to identify opportunities for system improvement and submit proposals to IT

Ensure integrity and security of all HR data through the enforcement of procedures and standards

Administer routine and mass data uploads following organisational change

Support HR Shared Services teams and local HR Operations to resolve complex queries and escalate to IT as required

Significant knowledge of HR cloud-based systems

Ability to review both business and technical documentation

Strong numeracy and analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of employees and management

Ability to collaborate effectively with HR and the business to understand requests and facilitate resolutions

Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

2 years cloud-based HR systems experience with a basic understanding of Workday

Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Excel

Broad operational experience in HR, Payroll, and HRIS in a global environment preferred

Workday certification in HCM Core and additional modules desirable

Experience in a Workday configuration role desirable

Ability to travel globally
