About the Role:
The in office or Remote Working Director, Talent Analytics will report to the Senior Director, Talent Analytics, and will be part of a group that supports Team Members, Leaders, and the entire company with Talent Insights. This is a new role, which will be critical in establishing practices and continuing to drive our journey with Talent Analytics.
In this role, you will lead a team of consultants, analysts and product owners to establish solid data consulting and governance practices to identify the relationships and trends in data which is translated into actionable insights and drives workforce decisions. You will be a strategic thought partner to our leaders by synthesizing strategy, forming business questions, and identify processes that can be enhanced through the application of data, analytics and insight. In addition to you help translate the business needs into operationalized products. You will partner with other teams in Talent Analytics to ensure talent analytics strategy is aligned with HR high level initiatives to drive meaningful impact for Target. You play a key role in maximizing the value our clients get from our Talent Analytics products, driving adoption and championing continuous improvement.
The person that fills this role will be a thought leader. The ideal candidate will:
10 Years' professional experience in Consulting, People Analytics / Talent analytics and/or Organizational Psychology domains with 5 years management experience
Have a proven record working with senior leaders in metric mapping, leading advanced analytical analysis and presenting results in a compelling way.
Possess a passion for enabling thoughtful & meaningful experiences.
Be an innovative thought leader that is able to set and execute on strategic direction.
Exude passion for leading and developing a team.
Be a People Analytics / Talent Analytics thought leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for programs, policies, people and process related to Talent Analytics Consulting and Product Ownership
Participates with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
Participates in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
Apply wide-ranging experience in people research, quantitative analysis, data science, and data visualization to help Target recruit, select, grow, and retain talent
See beyond the data to identify solutions that will raise the bar for all things Talent-related
Externally focused and understands concepts of data analytics, predictive analytics and trend analysis to inform current and future work
Leverages independent judgement in obtaining superior results
Partner with peers in Reporting, Analytics, and Team Member Sentiment teams to define projects
Promotes an inclusive and digital mind-set (e.g., values, principles, and practices) across the organization to utilize analytics that enable the workforce and create value for the business
About You:
10+ Years' professional experience, preferably in Human Resources, Consulting, People Analytics / Talent analytics and/or Organizational Psychology domains with 5 years management experience
Experience leading a team remotely
Superior analytical skills including problem solving, attention to detail and clear communication of complex analysis
Mastery level Business Acumen; able to understand the business and are able to influence at the most senior levels
Superior consulting skills; can define the right business problems, manage complexities and affect change
Excellent Communication skills; can tell stories, engage people and inspire action
Ability to influence at all levels within the organization
Relationship curator - shapes constructive working relationships, builds rapport and respect by active listening, negotiation and discussion
Organizational navigator - uses knowledge of organizational structure and business to identify and prevent conflicts and understands how roles, products and services relate to HR technology
Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
