Job Description - Human Resources Generalist HR Generalist The HR Generalist wiil be responsible for performing HR-related duties such as employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, total rewards administration, recruitment\/talent acquisition, employment law compliance, talent development\/training, employee engagement, onboarding, and project management. The Generalist partners with a team of payroll, benefits, and recruiting specialists to provide a full range of quality HR services to serve leaders and all employees in a proactive and collaborative manner. RESPONSBILITIES Maintain knowledge and advise others on legal or regulatory compliance matters. Appropriately responds to employee relations issues and concerns including gathering information required to determine critical next steps and make recommendations. Provides coaching and guidance to employees and leaders in areas such as employee relations, employee engagement, performance management and effective workplace dynamics. Prepare change recommendations, letters, reports, and general information. Facilitate portions of new hire orientation and provide support and guidance for onboarding new leaders and employees. Provide Benefit Administrative support to include: presentation of information at annual benefit enrollment meetings, response to benefit questions and escalate as necessary, facilitation of Wellness Committee. Oversees the Performance Management process, including form creation, annual timelines, entering and tracking ratings and increases, and all communication to leaders and employees. Provide Leave Administration support to leaders and employees to ensure clear communication, appropriate decision making and complete tracking and reporting. Effectively collaborate and communicate with Total Rewards team. Ensure the completion of employment actions and activities related to HR administration. Develop and provide employee communication material and documents. Coordinate and assist with employee engagement and exit interviews and maintain interview files and statistics. Assists in the research, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, administers and ensures compliance. Research and analyze data to provide information and recommendation to HR leader. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Plan employee events and manage budget. Collaborate with peers in HR functional teams in the development and delivery of HR initiatives to ensure a unified HR delivery approach. Provide appropriate support for HR Strategic Business Manager when needed and undertake any other related activities as requested. \u00a0 QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required. PHR\/SPHR and\/or SHRM-CP\/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Experience Minimum of five (5) years experience in Human Resources or related work required. Skills and Knowledge Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function including, but not limited to, FLSA, ADA, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and FMLA. Specialized knowledge of general human resources policies, program, methods, practices and procedures related to Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation, and EEO Administration. Exceptional customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated success in communicating across all levels of the organization. Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Ability to recognize critical HR issues and escalate appropriately. Ability to adjust and handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency. Ability to research, analyze and interpret employment laws and human resources policies. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Ability to think creatively and translate concepts into actionable items based upon facts. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Comfort working in ambiguous situations. Strong understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
