RLI's Human Resources department is hiring an intern for Summer 2018. This internship will be full time (37.5 hours per week) and run from early June through early August. The HR Intern will have the opportunity to take part in RLI's formal summer internship program, which includes presentations from various executives and department heads, team-building activities, and group outings.
Main duties of the position will include:
-Review use of current salary survey sources and identify overlap of sources in market pricing for potential cost savings. Research other insurance-based salary survey sources.
-Assist with career pathing initiatives across the organization including creating and updating job descriptions.
-Assist with developing HR analytics dashboard(s) to be able to recognize workforce trends and issues and proactively address areas for improvement.
-Assist in updating and creating HIPAA compliance documents.
-Assist with research of potential new benefit options for 2019.
-Assist with wellness-related activities as needed (summer wellness challenge and wellness field day).
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to formulate and communicate findings and recommendations to HR staff and other internal and external customers.
-Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
-Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
-The ability to organize, prioritize and multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
-Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
-Current student (sophomore standing or higher) majoring in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, Accounting or other business degree.
-Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
