Description The Organization Effectiveness (OE) team is an internal consulting team within the People Strategies department of Cox Automotive Inc., a division of Cox Enterprises Inc. The goal of the OE team is to design organizations that are aligned to and positioned to achieve their business strategies, goals and objectives, and sustain business results. For transformative changes, the OE team also has responsibility for helping business leaders successfully implement the organization design by developing and executing transition strategies and plans. Cox Automotive People Strategies is currently recruiting a Senior Manager as a member of the Organization Effectiveness team. This position will identify, scope, lead and manage a portfolio of Organization Design projects that can range in size, scope, and business area depending on the specific needs of Cox Automotive. This role will be responsible for partnering directly with executives, department\/functional leaders, business managers, and HR partners to enhance organizational effectiveness. Organization Design\u00a0 Demonstrate understanding of new or updated business strategies and objectives and influence discussions with senior leaders around required organizational capabilities. Confirm need for organization design\/restructuring through holistic organizational diagnostic assessments. Lead and\/or provide guidance throughout all stages of organization design, redesign, and restructuring efforts ranging from small changes to large transformations with significant impact. Work includes: Understand dependencies of organization design\/restructuring efforts within a larger business transformation and integration effort and identify\/communicate milestones, progress on milestones, and any potential risks\/challenges with mitigation strategies Research leading practice organization structures, operating models, size, spans of control, number of levels, etc. Develop operating models, high-level organization designs, and detailed organization structures for business solution and\/or functional organizations or teams Assess and document team member impacts and develop high level organization\/workforce transition plans. Partner with Change Management, HR partners, Corporate Communications to establish transition strategies for the impacted workforce. Guide HR partners and business leaders through the review and approval process for proposed future state. Provide implementation guidance to enable a smooth workforce transition. Provide coaching and advice to HR partners and business leaders\/managers around approach for managing less complex org design efforts. Manage organization design initiatives to support business transformations. Organizational Diagnostic\/Assessment Conduct holistic organizational assessments\/diagnostics to identify root cause of organizational effectiveness and business performance challenges. Formulate sound, reliable, and comprehensive recommendations to better align organization capabilities or improve organization\u2019s performance and business results. Present findings and recommendations to Business Leaders and HR partners, work together to determine plan for successful implementation. Change Management Develop and execute change strategies and tactical organization workforce transition plans for organization design and restructuring efforts As necessary, partner cross-functionally with internal or external Change Management practitioners, HR partners and Corporate Communications to execute tactical organizational change plans Leverage Cox Automotive change management frameworks and tools to ensure consistency in team member experiences during organizational change Other Develop positive working and advisory\/consulting relationships with all levels of leadership\/ management as well as the People Strategies team Create and effectively present high quality deliverables to Business Leaders at all levels Stay informed of on leading practices within the organization design space. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Organization Development and\/or Effectiveness, or related field or equivalent work experience 10 years of experience in related fields providing consultation to business leaders around organization\/ job design and organization restructuring Management consulting experience preferred Travel up to 20% Strong experience with the following areas: Organization design Internal and\/or external consulting Change management Project management Idea development, from concept through implementation Group facilitation Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong understanding of organization design, change management, and business practices Strategic \u201cbig picture\u201d and logical thinking; strong intellectual curiosity Strong leadership presence and ability to gain credibility quickly Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities Must be independent self-starter and results\/value driven Ability to partner to create organization strategies and approaches, yet able to \u201croll up your sleeves\u201d to deliver Ability to lead internal consulting projects and to partner effectively with HR partners Excellent communicator and presenter (verbal and written) with the ability to interface and influence executive level business leaders Proven ability to create high quality deliverables and represent concepts through presentations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
