L3 Fuzing & Ordnance Systems (FOS), L3 Interstate Electronics Corp. (IEC) and L3 Space & Navigation have combined to form L3 Defense Electronic Systems (L3 DES). L3 DES provides precision electronic components, subsystems, and systems for the Department of Defense and international allies, specializing in fuzing & munitions products, GPS navigation systems, assured position, navigation, and timing (A-PNT) capabilities, aerospace indicators, and intelligence management solutions. Our siteis located on the east side of Cincinnati (near Amelia) with easy access to I-275. We are the largest fuze manufacturer in the United States and one of the most advanced manufacturers of Fuzing and Ordnance products in the world. L-3 FOS specializes in the development and production of fuzing, safe and arming devices, as well as the manufacture and integration of ordnance systems for air-dropped, tube-launched, missile and rocket-driven devices and infantry-employed ordnance products for the U.S. military and our international allies.

As your employer of choice, we are searching for an experienced Human Resources professional that will partner with business leaders to help build the business’ capability by developing & retaining talent and fostering a healthy organization. We do this by working with business leadership to develop people priorities and align HR practices and processes that support the business strategy. The HR Business Partner will focus on identifying issues with designated client group before they impact the business, developing next generation leaders and tracking critical HR metrics to drive organizational improvements. Responsible for HR programs and initiatives that support business objectives and will offer creative solutions to drive business execution.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid HR generalist background with depth of experience and knowledge in multiple discipline areas e.g., employee relations, leadership development, compensation, and process execution. The selected candidate will be able to build effective relationships and partnerships, and have the ability to lead change efforts. Must have a strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition and possess an ability to cultivate collaboration across functional groups. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with client leadership and HR team to implement priorities that directly support business priorities
Delivering solutions to business problems and resources that help the business achieve its objectives
Implementing performance management processes and annual compensation processes to promote the best performance possible from each employee
Promoting employee engagement through the development, communication and implementation of pro-active employee relations strategies
Assuring adherence to legal compliance
Measuring and utilizing key metrics to drive improvements.

Minimum of 5-8 years generalist experience (ideally some experience in manufacturing) with prior benefits, compensation and employee relations experience.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business Administration or other discipline related to HR; Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated HR proficiency and a history of increased responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to relentlessly drive closure to any task assigned
Outstanding interpersonal, influence and communication skills both verbal and written
Thrives in a fast paced environment that relies on independent decisions and creative solutions.
Experience with Taleo and SAP a plus.
