\t\t\tRecruitment:\r
\t\t\t• Recruit, screen, and refer applicants for staff positions\r
\t\t\t• Administration of the on-line application and background check system\r
\t\t\t• Confer with hiring managers to understand staffing needs\r
\t\t\t• Assist management with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies\r
\t\t\t• Measure and report the success of recruitment initiatives\r
\t\t\t• Provide counsel to managers and supervisors on a variety of recruitment\/employment issues\r
\t\t\t• Oversight of open job postings and follow up to ensure timely handling and closings\r
\t\t\t• Process advertising requests\r
\t\t\t• Process background check orders and communicate results to the department\r
\t\t\t• Coordinate pre-employment physical\r
\t\t\t• Create job list report and print copies as necessary\r
\t\t\t• Attend off-site recruitment programs including job fairs and community outreach events\r
\r
\t\t\tEmployment Administration:\r
\t\t\t• Assists the Manager, Classification & Employment in developing employment policies and procedures.\r
\t\t\t• Communicate employment initiatives and strategies\r
\t\t\t• Review and update staff handbook as necessary\r
\t\t\t• In collaboration with the Manager, Classification & Employment ensure the campus adheres to all university employment policies as well as State and Federal regulations.\r
\t\t\t• Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives, efficient workflows, and technology solutions\r
\t\t\t• Provide HR information on exiting employees including need for exit interview and exit process\r
\t\t\tNew Employee Orientation\/On-boarding:\r
\t\t\t• Conduct new employee orientation on a regular basis\r
\t\t\t• Provide on-boarding information\/processes for supervisors\r
\r
\t\t\tTraining:\r
\t\t\t• Provide relevant training to the campus community.\r
\t\t\t• Assist internal and external customers with technical support for the on-line system\r
\t\t\t• In conjunction with the Manager develop employment training materials.\r
\t\t\tCommittees\/Project Support:\r
\t\t\t• Serve on campus groups\/committees as necessary.\r
\t\t\t• Provide support for special projects as requested by the Manager, Classification & Employment, Director of Human Resources, and\/or other Business & Finance leadership.\r

\t\t\tWork Schedule\r
\t\t\tMonday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm\r

\t\t\tAdditional Duties\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\tAbility to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.\r
\t\t\tWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.\r
\t\t\tAn understanding of applicant tracking technology.\r
\t\t\tExcellent communication skills both written and verbal.\r
\t\t\tExcellent organizational and analytical skills.\r
\t\t\tAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.\r
\t\t\tAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\r
\t\t\tRegular attendance and timeliness.\r
\t\t\tAbility to research trends and make recommendations based on best practices or change in State and\/or Federal laws.\r
\t\t\tAbility to commit time and effort necessary to ensure customer\/manager and employees needs are met.\r
\t\t\tAbility to continuously learn and to pursue self-development through personal study, training and education.\r
\t\t\tAbility to adapt and embrace change. Thorough understanding of university policies and procedures as well as relevant State and Federal laws.\r

\t\t\tPrevious recruitment\/employment experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field\r

\t\t\tExperience in higher education.\r
\t\t\tPreferred Certification\/License: PHR\r
