Job DescriptionThe Leave of Absence and Accommodation (LOAA) team supports the management of leaves of absence, disability and workplace accommodation in the U.S., and architects our global framework for these domains world-wide. This role is critical to evolving our Accommodation program in the areas of travel accommodations domestically/internationally and leading a team for specialty centers of excellence on the team. Within the LOAA group, this leader will collaborate with resources from multiple domains to ensure program needs are met, including Program Management & Integration, Product Development, Quality & Self-inspection, Escalations and operational delivery teams. S/he will lead a team of center of excellence specialists across the U.S., and will be responsible for managing vendors, and the technology used to offering innovative solutions as supported by the ADAAA. The successful candidate is a leader with strong business acumen, preferably with deep project and/or program management experience. This individual will need strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to manage by influence. This position requires strong self-management skills, the ability to translate business needs into service delivery, producing the right results for the company, the business segments and the employee. The manager possesses exceptional communication and organizational skills, superior attention to detail and an ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with customer service focus that associates expect from Amazon, are also essential. Responsibilities include: · Developing the new Domestic/International Travel Accommodations team, and develop teams to support the new centers of excellence in collaboration with stakeholder groups both within and outside the LOAA team. · Define functional requirements for new program features and drive project priorities and commitments, as well as establish and maintain clear chains of project management and accountability · Create and maintain a highly productive relationship with business segment and affinity group stakeholders, including stakeholders within LOAA and more broadly within HR Services · Build a high performance work culture & rewarding work environment leveraging diverse talent. · Analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve outcomes, including the business segment and employee experiences. · Build, monitor and improve key performance metrics that demonstrate continuous improvements Ability to travel as appropriate (50%), including foreign travel; must be able to have legal documentation (passport, travel document, etc.) in force for traveling internationally within 30 days of hire and continuously during the duration of the position
Basic Qualifications· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university · 6 years of experience in a project, program or program or business relationship manager role (or any combination of these areas, or commensurate education)· Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence others while working in a cross functional environment, preferably with senior members of the business· Experience delivering large, cross functional projects with multiple vendors, clients, and plans, and delivering solutions through technology · Strong analytical and critical thinking skills · Technically proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint· Knowledge of federal and state disability laws regarding employees with disabilities, specifically ADA/ADAAA · Knowledge of federal, state and local leave of absence regulations, specifically FMLA
Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications and Skills: · An advanced degree or 5 years\u2019 equivalent experience in either Human Resources, Integrated Disability and Absence Management, Workers\u2019 Compensation and/or Risk Management· Proven expertise in business re engineering / transformation· Detail orientation with ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities and excellent follow up skills in a fast-paced environment· Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal (including presentations) and in writing
