About the role

As a Global Benefits Financial Analyst ll, you will be responsible for coordinating financial, claims and utilization data relating to all benefit plans firm-wide. In addition, the Global Benefits Financial Analyst II will be responsible for analyzing and reporting data related to ongoing Global Benefits projects, programs and plans, and will maintain and build relationships with brokers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers for the firm. Other key responsibilities include:

Collecting and preparing utilization and financial data both regularly and on an adhoc basis for use in various department reports; ensuring reports are relevant and timely

Assisting with special projects as needed, including the preparation and presentation of information in Excel and PowerPoint

Performing research on various areas of the firm benefit program including reviewing premium payments, tracking benefits costs, and analyzing claim trends

Analyzing and reconciling various benefit accounts and processes by researching and identifying errors in account postings and/or invoices

Performing flexible spending account discrimination testing and implementing any necessary remedies to be compliant

Promoting effective work practices and works as a team member

Assisting the Global Benefits Sr. Financial Analyst with the preparation of budgets; monitoring and analyzing variances to the plan

Preparing regulatory filings; ensuring accurate and timely filing and reporting

Reconciling and processing benefit program payments on an as needed basis as a back-up to the Global Benefits Billing Analyst

Preparing Annual Enrollment contribution spreadsheets, as well as pricing spreadsheets for distribution to employees and firm management

Reviewing and analyzing the impact of pending legislative and regulatory changes for health and welfare plans; keeping abreast of new legislation as well as market trends to ensure the benefit program remains effective and competitive

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Possess knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, budgeting and budget variance analysis, as well as compensation and benefits practices

Demonstrate a well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

Have comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions of all US health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendors.

And have:

A College degree with a concentration in an analytical area of study (Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics)

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related financial analysis and/or employee benefits administration experience
