Maintains database for regulatory agency compliance, productivity and serves as a resource for At Staff Scheduling and Kronos Payroll System.Minimum Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum Experience Requirements2 years clerical experience Medical terminology Understanding of different levels of care and staffing to meet patient care needs.License/CertificationsN/APosition Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )· Accurately maintain database (computer and manual systems) regularly (daily and monthly) for both the staffing and patient placement areas for quality assessment. *· Participates in positive customer relations with both internal and external customers. *· Timely acknowledgment of faxed information*· Equitable distribution and assignment of nursing resources in conjunction with nursing leadership*· Equitable distribution of shift availability. *· Informing Managers of staffing/employee issues through e-mails/reports. *· Prompt notification of contract agencies for cancellation/confirmations, payroll issues, or employee issues.*· Knowledgeable and responsible for staying current on staffing and patient placement guidelines and policies as directed by Team Leader and/or Clinical Nurse Manager so as to stay within budget restraints. *· Coordinates and assigns nursing float staff and patients admitted into hospital system using appropriate guidelines and resources. Places patients/staff in accordance of priority and needs in a timely manner. *· Accurate data entry for nursing hours for all assigned units and staff in AtStaff. *· Accurate activation/deactivation of contract labor badging. *· Identifies and participates in process improvement activities. *· Maintains quarterly review of agency profiles. *· Maintain upkeep of personnel overstaffing records. *· Creates and maintains records of work done on a shift by shift, daily, weekly and monthly basis. *· Determines priorities for staffing needs in conjunction with the nursing unit charge nurses and administrative coordinators*· Functions well in emergency situations ,i.e., excessive unscheduled absences, natural/man made disasters, mass casualties, or excessively high census. *· Demonstrates ability to investigate and resolve complaints. *· Demonstrates effective problem-solving and ability to prioritize work flow. *· Contributes toward positive work environment amidst stressful situations, i.e., frequent interruptions, impatient customers. *· Determines priorities for staffing needs and develops plans accordingly. *· Responsible for accurate communication of staffing/patient placement needs/changes to nursing units to maintain patient safety and employee satisfaction. *· Performs excellence customer service in telephone etiquette. *· Communicates effectively with nursing units, nursing staff, co-workers, and managers. *· Displays professional communication through timely emails. *· Prompt answering of phones with timely response to voice mail.* Physical RequirementsSedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally Important notification to applicants as of Nov. 20, 2014: Effective Jan. 1, 2015, Centura Health will no longer hire tobacco users in Colorado and Kansas.
