Education / Experience Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related area; plus 2 or more years of experience as a LMS Administrator or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years LMS Administrator experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads the implementation of a new LMS, ensuring proper configuration, system integration and migration of historical data.

  • Develops and documents systems with the appropriate workflows and approvals to ensure published content is consistent, accurate and available to the correct users.

  • Works with subject matter experts across the organization to understand training, compliance and certification needs and builds learning paths to meet those needs.

  • Is responsible for defining and managing system governance.

  • Establishes department administrators and oversees the processes of that group.

  • Creates and implements a training plan for all roles within the system, including administrators, supervisors and end users.

  • Keeps up to date with system upgrades, updates processes and trains on system enhancements.

  • Serves as the secondary point of contact for technical issues, providing support, researching and resolving functionality issues.

  • Assists in the instructional design of courses, quizzes and programs when needed.

Additional Job Functions

Perform other duties per supervisor’s discretion.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of training design principles and evaluation.

  • Working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate or Storyline Articulate.

  • Strong organizational, communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to create the most effective processes.

  • Ability to learn new applications and tools quickly.

  • Keeps pace with latest trends and advances in LMS software, training and methodologies.

  • Ability for technical writing and conducting training sessions.

  • The knowledge and skills required to perform well in an internal customer service role.

  • Prefer experience using Excel in running reports and analyzing data.

  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.

  • Occasional travel is necessary.
