The human resource generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, safety, employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational development, performance management, recruitment, workers compensation, affirmative action and employment equity programs. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The selected candidate must be sensitive to and appropriately balance corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. Develops policies and implements approved programs and policies designed to protect company and employee interests in accordance with governmental laws and regulations. Identifies and complies with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.

Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions, maintains documentation.
Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews).
Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
Assists management with the creation and implementation of strategic HR programs such as performance management, training, employee surveys and communications.
Assists with safety initiatives.
Develops, monitors, identifies benchmarks and reports for operations management.
Maintain human resource records and compiles reports.
Completes special projects.
Various administrative duties in the department.
n Job Requirements n
nEducation and n Experience n
Must have Five (5) or more years of HR Generalist experience
Must Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field
HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic keyboarding skills.
Knowledge of various federal and state employment laws and practices.
Work well with in a team environment.
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
