The Opportunity: Reporting to the Plant Manager with a strong dotted line to the Regional Manager of HR and the Benefits Manager, the HR\/Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for administering the day-to-day HR processes, policies and employee relations at our Marion Plant in addition to assisting the Benefits Manager with benefit administration company-wide. The successful candidate will be a proven HR professional with experience working in an HR service function, preferably in a manufacturing environment. S\/he will have a history of providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism and integrity. Key Responsibilities: Provides first point of contact support for all employees at the division working with Management to ensure excellent employee relations. Lead and champion a safe work environment including the administration, tracking, investigations and follow up on all safety related incidents and procedures. Responsible for all administrative tasks related to HR and Benefits. Develop and coach staff and employees on HR related issues. Recruits, interviews, tests and selects employees in partnership with Management to fill vacant positions. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and sensitivity training. Maintains employee records in accordance with government regulations. Administers benefits program company-wide during enrollment period as well as assisting employees on site upon hire. Creating reports and complete benefits reporting requirements company-wide. Keying benefit information into vendor sites and payroll system. Answering benefit related questions\/working with HR Managers on benefit administration. Assists with payroll tracking and administration. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Minimum of 2-5 years of field HR generalist experience preferably in a plant manufacturing setting; or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Solid background in Benefits Administration and knowledge of FMLA, ADA and HIPAA certification would be an asset. Commitment to workplace\u00a0safety and absolute confidentiality with regards to protected information is essential. Society for Human Resource Management certification and active membership would be considered an asset. Strong knowledge of SAP, ADP, Oracle, Kronos and\/or similar enterprise wide human capital systems. Solid knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations. Critical personal characteristics and skills include excellent judgment, professionalism, passion and courage. Effective interpersonal skills including advocacy, negotiating and influencing skills. Maintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups. Ability to travel periodically when required.
