Foster Care Home Finder/ Recruiter
Northern Rivers is looking for a Foster Care Home Finder / Recruiter!
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To recruit, train and assist Foster parents in
receiving placements through the Department of Social Services.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Complete all paperwork for the certification process.
Conduct the home study write-up.
Attend orientation meetings, and all other meetings as required.
Handle inquiries from potential Foster Parents and the application process.
Prepare and present GPS/MAPP training.
Provide consultation to families during home visits.
Facilitate the CPR/First Aid process.
Handle the recertification process including development of yearly skill development plan with each family.
Check with certified families on quality basis to monitor satisfaction and support by foster care team.
Provide ongoing training and support for certified parents in conjunction with foster care team.
Address certification/recertification regulation issues with foster families including developing corrective action plans.
Assess families’ ability to work as a foster parent through certification process.
Make initial screening decisions in foster parent inquires.
Conduct safety assessments to determine potential risk to foster families.
Consult with Coordinator on homes and placement of children.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum of 3 years experience in social services.
