A manufacturing company located near Sheboygan, Wisconsin, has retained our HR recruiting firm to conduct a confidential search. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager. The manager is responsible to the coordination and performance of Human Resources functions for multiple locations. Major emphasis is placed on ensuring that appropriate talent is in place and nurtured by the organization, that employment policies and processes are followed, and that communication is maintained. This position plays a key role, responsible for effective communication with the union membership and the union district office, increasing the value of the organization’s human capital, and as a member of any assigned functional committees. All objectives are to be accomplished while seeking process improvement and best practices, and by following and promoting the long range plans of the organization. Contact our HR recruiters for more information about this position.\rJob Responsibilities\r\r Coordinate and carry out recruiting functions.\r Manage hires, departures and employee issues. Lead and manage department to engage and retain high performing people.\r Comply with state and federal employment laws.\r Understand and effectively communicate company policies and procedures with employees.\r Participate and lead the development and maintenance of employee benefit plans and compensation structure.\r Assume responsibility for employee relations and employee service functions.\r Assume the responsibility for personal growth and community involvement.\r Chair safety committee.\r Provide HR support to managers and supervisors managing other local teams.\r Maintain corporate and management and supervisor compliance with core employment legislation.\r Execute, develop, and maintain policy and procedures.\r Benefits and compensation expertise. Sourcing and reviewing of the insurance packages.\r Develop, train, and maintain employee performance appraisal system and process.\r Take the lead in supporting managers with all performance management issues.\r Guide managers and supervisors on effective probation management.\r Create and facilitate performance review process, and ensure consistency in results that are in line with the company benchmarks.\r Central participation in union contract negotiations for the company’s union facilities.\r
Job Requirements\r\r Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.\r Proven US employment law knowledge.\r Hands on experience working with unions, involvement with union contracts, and negotiations.\r A robust understanding of HR in the manufacturing space.\r Travel as needed to support remote facilities as above.\r
