The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for specializing in more than one area of human resource and benefit functions for corporate and subsidiaries, including a variety of duties within the human resource program. HR Specialists may be assigned to one key area but will perform any HR\/Benefit function as necessary. Must have current driver\u2019s license. Ability to obtain Generalist Certificate. Must be available to travel. No supervisory duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities consist of but are not limited to the following: Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions regarding human resources\/benefits; Responsible for processing all PAFs to Payroll after ensuring policies are adhered to, to include new hire paperwork as well as termination paperwork; Issues employee numbers and notification of new hires of all employees company-wide after signed Offer Letter is received; Responsible for electronic Applicant Data Form files; Responsible for E-verifying I-9\u2019s per regulations for all company-wide employees after ensuring I-9\u2019s accuracy; and creates and maintains electronic file for I-9\u2019s; Responsible for electronic filing of Voluntary Disability forms; Responsible for inputting new hire information into Costpoint and Infinity; Responsible for creating electronic files and the filing of all employee paperwork; Assist with yearly Benefit Open Enrollment as it relates to paperwork and checking codes, etc.; Must maintain high level of confidentiality with all information pertaining to corporate human resource\/benefit activity both verbal and written; Responsible for submitting the End of Pay Period Report to Payroll by deadline; Update Infinity and Costpoint according to PAFs submitted (title changes, supervisory changes, wages, evaluation dates etc.); Update personnel files when employee terminates; ensuring the electronic files have the correct date and reason for termination; Assist in submitting the New Hire Report to the State of Montana; Assist in maintaining the AAP Applicant Flow logs to cover new hires and termination; Assists with verification of inactive employee requests and active employee upon HR Manager request; Assists with keeping electronic training files current for all employees; Assists with preparing correspondence and files to electronic files; Schedules interviews via email or Web-Ex as requested by HR Manager and participates in interviews when necessary; Responsible for inputting HR\u2019s PR\u2019s into Cost Point. Sends Benefit Coordinator position descriptions for STD, W\/C etc. Assists with Federal background investigation requests; Assists HR Manager\/HR Generalist with research projects and\/or special projects; Maintains all solicited documents for positions all positions company-wide Performs applicant reference checks upon request; May represent the Human Resources Department\/Company at Human Resource meetings and job fairs; Responsible for VETS, APP, and EEO-1 Reports Assists with disciplinary concerns; Assists with resolving grievances; Oversees annual mandatory trainings and new hire mandatory trainings; Evaluate effectiveness of training; Conduct training sessions; and Must perform other duties as required by the Human Resource Specialist position or as assigned by the HR Manager, HR Generalist or the CAO. Education and\/or Experience: Preference will be given to Level III\u2019s; but if no Level III\u2019s, may consider Level II or Level I. Level III - High School diploma or GED equivalent or technical school course work and a minimum of seven (7) years Human Resources work experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the human resource field. Level II - High School diploma or GED equivalent or technical school course work and a minimum of five (5) years Human Resources work experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the human resource field; or Level I - High School diploma or GED equivalent or technical school course work and a minimum of three (3) years Human Resources work experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the human resource field.
