Position Summary:
The primary objective of the Human Resource Specialist - Recruitment is to coordinate and manage all phases of hiring and onboarding processes and maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws while creating a superior candidate experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support internal recruiters and management in the hiring process
Serves as an ambassador of the new hire employee experience.
Develop and post applicable internal and external job postings; maintain appropriate applicant tracking flow and data
Maintain sourcing strategies for assigned jobs
Coordinate all interviews with appropriate staff, providing appropriate materials and follow-up
Conduct professional and succinct onboarding of all new employees
Conduct new employee background checks
Prepare and send job offers and hire packets
Maintain recruitment KPIs
Prepare and deliver preliminary electronic onboarding documents
Conduct new hire orientation and complete necessary onboarding documentation
Assist with administration of HRIS system, including self-service portal administration, employee assistance with timekeeping, uploading of pertinent employee documentation, updating employee communication, etc.
Participates in recruiting events such as attending job fairs and monthly outreach events and builds strategic business relationships with recruiting contacts.
Supports the overall recruitment strategy in collaboration with the talent acquisition specialist and HR business partners, including peak planning and targeted recruitment activities.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of legally compliant interviewing and hiring best practices.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Employee-focus mentality with exceptional attention to detail.
High degree of personal integrity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Time management skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple recruitment activities simultaneously.
Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, negotiation, resolution, and facilitation skills.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to display initiative in sharing of information and updating information timely.
Ability to work individually and in a team environment including virtual team members, to successfully meet deadlines.
Ability to learn system functionality quickly.
Ability to read and comprehend complicated instructions, short correspondence, memos and to use good grammar.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to think independently and solve issues and problems without intervention.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in HR or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
2 years of HR experience, preferably with direct talent acquisition/recruiting responsibility.
Other Requirements, Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Reade.
Working knowledge of UltiPro software
Staffing tools such as applicant tracking software, HRIS systems, electronic job boards, social media and candidate sourcing applications.
Interpersonal Communications:
Frequent contact with all levels in the organization and external contact requiring negotiation. Above average oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and good grammar to interact with multiple internal, external and executive contacts. Spanish language skills a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations. This role requires working as part of a team therefore maintaining open communication is necessary.
Physical Demand:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
