Position Summary

The Lundquist College of Business Graduate Programs Office is seeking an Interim Graduate Recruiter to interface with potential students through the selection and admission process of the program. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions and Recruiting, this position will develop and generate student leads for the graduate programs in Eugene through face-to-face, phone, and online communication and through on and off campus events. This position will also advise prospective students on career goals, program outcomes, and application strength.

The Interim Graduate Recruiter will conduct interviews and evaluate applications to render an admission decision and/or scholarship award. They will monitor application progress from start to completion and assist in identifying and resolving issues. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating data throughout the admission process to provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports; conducting internal meetings with key stakeholders on applicants and the applicant pool; and coordinating and assisting with creating internal and external communications to new student leads, prospective students, and admitted students.

This position requires extensive domestic and occasional international travel to recruiting events, frequently held evenings and weekends. When not traveling, office hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Mon-Fri.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Two years of recruitment, admission or sales experience.

Professional Competencies

• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with prospective students from a variety of backgrounds.

• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in using technology for communication, record keeping, and management of data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and admissions at an accredited college or university.

• Knowledge of international student perspectives and needs.

• Experience applying marketing/selling techniques and methods; designing promotional presentation materials and giving public presentations; planning and directing promotion activities; creating student admissions activity reports; analyzing data to make informed recruitment decisions; working in a higher education setting with diverse populations and cultures; use of the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
