Full-Time The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Corporate HR Manager and team in supporting and carrying out responsibilities for all employees. Watertown, SD, United States Develops a consultative role with supervisors and managers in a variety of areas including hiring, onboarding, performance management and practice\/policy interpretations and application. Takes initiative to identify and anticipate Company and division needs and makes recommendations and offers support for continuous improvement. Addresses employee relations issues including investigations as needed and recommendations for disciplinary actions. Responsible for full cycle recruiting including selection, interviewing and employment offers and work with plant management\u00a0to develop recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs. Partners with local vo-techs, colleges, schools, associations, and communities to develop a strong recruiting network. Respond to required salary survey requests, prepare and analyze employment-related data and reports\u00a0as requested or required for internal and external purposes. Maintains affirmative action program, records and logs, including EEO-1 and Vets 100 reporting. Maintains all aspects of Learning Management System including assigning company-wide and individual training, entering training, and researching and updating training courses. Maintains data integrity in HRIS and may be assigned related projects Supports Corporate HR Manager and team in communicating, administering, maintaining benefit plan participation such as life, health, disability insurances, paid\/unpaid leave, etc. and actively participates in the open enrollment process including providing benefits information to employees. Participates in the development and implementation of the HR department's strategic initiatives, objectives and\u00a0goals. Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others. An associates degree in Business or Human Resources\u00a0or any similar combination of education and experience. 1-3 years\u2019 previous experience in Human Resources in a range of functional areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HRIS, LMS, benefits, onboarding, talent management and internal communications. Intermediate computer skills required Must demonstrate and maintain high level of professionalism and integrity Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidentially manage sensitive issues and information Must be detail oriented and able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple priorities with frequent interruptions Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills Strong ability to promote an environment of fairness and respect and positive employee relations Ability to travel to other plants locations as needed or required Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment preferred Required Required Preferred
