Job title: Human Resources GeneralistFLSA status: ExemptDepartment: Human ResourcesReports to: Director of Human Resources Position summary: Assist in all administrative aspects of human resources activities, act as a backup for day to day questions from employees and assist with special projects as they ariseEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in recruiting activities to include posting positions and identifying suitable candidates for open positionsAssist in payroll related special projectsManages review reminders and collection of review details (salary letters and signed review documents)Assist in payroll changes for each pay periodReconcile monthly benefits invoices and review for accuracyAssist in the administration of benefit programs including life, health, dental, and disability insurances, retirement plans, and FSA plan especially during open enrollmentMaintain and update employee handbook.Act as the backup for basic HR employee questionsPlan baby and wedding showers for employeesServe on Christmas Party Planning committeeAssist in wellness initiativesConduct new employee orientations.Assist in filing and organization of HR files to include employee and vendor files both hard copy and electronicKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointMust be friendly and approachable while maintaining a professional attitudeAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong analytical skills with attention to detailMust be diligent and proactive with strong follow up skillsMust be organizedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and two years related experience and\/or training; Professional of Human Resources (PHR) Certification preferred.
