Hours are dependent upon the semi-monthly payroll cycle and may vary on a weekly basis. This position will assist with compiling and processing payroll semi-monthly. The position will require an efficient individual capable of balancing a variety of recurring and ad-hoc projects associated with Upland’s Payroll department, including; updating payroll data, responding to employees’ inquiries, processing payroll, generating and reviewing monthly reports, reimbursing payroll vendors and various other day-to-day accounting activities in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Payroll Manager.Primary Responsibilities:Process semi-monthly payrollUpdate and Maintain Employee Payroll Data in UltiproChange deductions per employee requestsUpdate 401k contributionsRespond to employees’ questions timely and accuratelyApprove W4 and bank changesTime sheet data collection, review and payroll entryPay Payroll VendorsReview and explain variances on Payroll reportsPrepare payroll trend reportsRecord journal entriesPrepare account reconciliationsOpening and processing mailMaintaining files in the CloudPayroll Assistant may perform other duties and special projects as neededRequirements:Good knowledge of payroll proceduresPrior payroll experience requiredAdvanced Excel skills including V-lookup, and data filteringSolid data entry skillsExcellent attention to details with an ability to identify numerical errorsGood organizational and time-management abilitiesStrong communication and collaborative skillsAbility to work independentlyComfortable interacting with all levels of managementAbility to work efficiently and deliver results in a timely mannerDesired Skills: Experience with Ultipro and Intacct is a plus About UplandUpland Software (Nasdaq: UPLD) is an enterprise cloud software company that provides award-winning solutions in Project and IT Management, Workflow Automation and Digital Engagement.
