The Total Rewards - Principal Specialist is a key member of the Talent/Total Rewards team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all compensation programs. The ideal candidate will partner with other members of the HR team and leadership to develop the annual compensation strategy and support ongoing benefit programs. Targeted Outcomes (next 12 months)Successfully manage the annual bonus and merit planning cycle, including calculations and communicationPartner with the Total Rewards and HRIS team to automate first edition Total Reward statements in WorkdayLead efforts to analyze wage and shift differential projects across the company and deliver a standardized cohesive approach for consistency across the company Key ResponsibilitiesCompensationProvide analysis of compensation practices, policies, and procedures in order to meet organizational goals and competitive strategyPartner with HRIS team to ensure that compensation processes are accurately and efficiently executed in HRISPartner with the HR and Talent Acquisition teams to make compensation recommendations using a data driven approachLead execution and analysis of salary surveys for external benchmarkingRepresent the company to participate in salary surveys for industry and geographic marketEstablish framework to ensure that compensation processes are consistently administered in compliance with policies and government regulations, to include international pay practices and regulationsPartner with Payroll to provide monthly and quarterly accruals for any special payments, AIP and H grade employee quarterly bonus plansProvide training for compensation programs and HRIS BenefitsSupport annual competitive benefits plan design to support complianceSupport administration of benefit plans including testing, reporting and annual open enrollment of medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, disability, wellness, 401(k) and pension plansAssist in developing metrics to measure impact and results of wellness and benefit programsSupport effective communication of plan information to the organizationRetain knowledge of company's benefit plans and processes necessary to support workforce and provide backup administrative supportEnsure integrity of employee data TeamReports to the Manager – Total RewardsPeers include Corporate Payroll Manager, Sr. Total Rewards AnalystWellness Specialist (contractor) Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a business or technical fields10 years or more of relevant experience in CompensationBenefits experience highly desiredExperience partnering with vendors and managing day to day solutionsExperience with Workday HRIS is highly desiredExperience in other HR fields and manufacturing a plusTeam leader or people management experience a plus Required SkillsStrong business orientation with demonstrated ability to deliver results that add measurable valueSelf-starter with ability to resolve issues with minimal directionExcellent analytical analysis with focus on providing recommendations, improving benefits programs, and influencing leadersStrong project management skills and ability to execute on multiple projects and goalsStrong customer service skillsAdvanced proficiency with MS ExcelCEBS or other relevant certification a plusDemonstrated good judgment and decision making capabilityWHY WORK AT ASCEND?
