Directly responsible for the day to day management of employee coaching and counseling, benefits, HRIS functions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Supervises Benefits Administration and general HR functions • Partners with the SVP Human Resources as well as the executive management team and site leadership team to provide employment coaching and counseling in applying sound logic to achieve optimum business results • Provide counsel to Supervisors and Managers on all human resources-related legal issues. Coordinate and manage responses to employee complaints regarding Human Resources-related policies and laws. Seeks corporate legal advice as appropriate • Helps develop and implement personnel policies and procedures; helps prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures; assists in communication • Assists SVP Human Resources in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment • Responds to unemployment insurance claims, EEOC claims, state agency claims • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed • Helps direct recruiting effort and maintaining online recruiting platforms • Ensures that appropriate technology is employed to support HR processes and organization goals • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals • Files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required • Works with Benefits Analysts to perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees • Works with Payroll Administrators to coordinate HR/payroll functions as necessary Additional Functions and Responsibilities • Additional duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Must have strong leadership and management skills required; both principles and people • Must have ability to direct staff to accomplish day-to-day tasks • Must have team-building, motivational, and listening skills • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written • Must have superior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible • Must be resourceful and well organized • Must have excellent analytical skills • Must be flexible, able to manage multiple priorities and able to shift resources and priorities as required • Must be able to maintain confidentiality • Must be able to work in a general office environment • Must demonstrate support of Bell Core Values • Must demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service • Must demonstrate ability to successfully work on a team • Must be able to understand directives both orally and in writing • Must present a professional image Education and Background • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources • From five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources • A minimum of three (3) years' recent experience in a company with 500 or more employees • HR Certification required Requirements These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
