Profile

Gogo is looking for a self-starter to join our dynamic team and lead our global payroll services, while providing administrative support of global compensation. Reporting into the HR Shared Services team, this position will have ultimate accountability for accurate and timely payroll processing including accounting, reconciliation, analysis, and compliance. Additionally, this position will have responsibilities to support the design and delivery of compensation programs and administer job scoping and bench-marking activities, globally.The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual who has a natural intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the desire to drive improvements and continuously simplify processes. The candidate will flourish in a \u201Chands-on role\u201D.\u00A0Payroll\u00A0Responsible for accurate, timely and efficient\u00A0bi-weekly\u00A0payroll processing of\u00A01,200\u00A0U.S.\u00A0employees, utilizing Workday\u00A0as source of record and payroll engine,\u00A0and\u00A0in partnership with our managed payroll service provider, OneSource Virtual.\u00A0Responsible for accurate, timely and efficient monthly payroll processing of\u00A0under 100\u00A0non-U.S. employees (12 countries), utilizing Workday as source of record and in partnership with our managed payroll service providers.\u00A0Responsible for\u00A0the\u00A0design, development, deployment\u00A0and\u00A0documentation of\u00A0the end to end payroll\u00A0processes, audit\u00A0controls\u00A0and\u00A0segregation of duties.\u00A0Responsible for\u00A0coordinating payroll activities with each managed payroll service provider, with ultimate\u00A0responsibility\u00A0to\u00A0approve\u00A0of each payroll\u00A0period calculation.\u00A0Responsible for the timely preparation and calculation of ancillary\u00A0payroll\u00A0payments/checks.\u00A0Responsible for reconciling\u00A0payroll\u00A0taxes\u00A0to ensure accurate entry of all\u00A0staffing\u00A0transactions (i.e. sales commission, bonuses, equity, etc.). This includes the reconciliation of\u00A0all payroll tax\u00A0returns and amendments.\u00A0Responsibility to\u00A0serve as\u00A0the\u00A0subject matter expert\u00A0for all payroll related matters.\u00A0Responsibility to serve as the audit control owner for all payroll audit controls\u00A0including\u00A0timely and accurate resolution\u00A0of all audit-related requests.\u00A0Responsibility to stay current on legislation, payroll tax regulation, applicable federal and\u00A0regional\u00A0laws and industry changes that affect payroll operations.Compensation\u00A0Responsible for providing input into pay adjustments (new hires, promotions, pay equity studies, etc.) based upon competitive and/or internally equitable compensation for employees globally\u00A0Responsible\u00A0for researching and analyzing market data, trends and anecdotal information, to make compensation recommendations\u00A0Responsible for internal job scoping and benchmarking of new and existing jobs\u00A0Responsible for ensuring compliance with FLSA for U.S. roles and makes recommendations for classification based upon FLSA\u00A0Responsible for\u00A0supporting compensation programs (e.g. annual review) and plan design\u00A0Responsible for administration of annual job market survey submission\u00A0\u00A0Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience\u00A0Bachelor\u2019s Degree.\u00A0CPP\u00A0Certification\u00A0desirable\u00A05 years of relevant payroll experience in a public company\u00A03\u00A0to\u00A05\u00A0years of experience in compensation plan design and delivery.\u00A0Experience with\u00A0U.S.\u00A0multi-state\u00A0payrolls and both exempt and non-exempt employees\u00A0Experience with\u00A0non-U.S.\u00A0payrolls\u00A0\u00A0High-functioning, working knowledge of relevant payroll related standards, regulations and other related requirements\u00A0Demonstrated ability to conduct survey analyses and market pricing studies.\u00A0Experience with\u00A0modern, cloud based,\u00A0human resources and payroll systems;\u00A0Workday\u00A0a plus\u00A0High proficiency\u00A0with\u00A0Microsoft Excel, including\u00A0lookups, logical\u00A0expressions\u00A0and pivot tables.\u00A0Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail\u00A0Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role\u00A0Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and leadGogo is the inflight internet company.
