Job Description : The Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Knowledge Continuity & Social Learning Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing Knowledge Management approaches across the Rotary Mission Systems Business Area. This individual will be responsible for executing knowledge continuity processes that reduce risk, increase knowledge sharing, foster experiential learning, and retain critical skills. The successful candidate will have experience applying Knowledge Management and Social Learning Principles within large matrixed organizations in alignment with business priorities. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: * Provide Knowledge Management thought leadership to the HR team and business leaders in diagnosing capability growth opportunities associated with the business strategy and suggest interventions to accelerate achievement of results*Initiate and facilitate knowledge continuity teams to accelerate speed to competency and improve retention of critical business knowledge*Upskill technical experts and high performers in applying Knowledge Continuity processes to their daily work to support capability development*Partner with Talent Management Team to integrate the identification of knowledge loss risks and experts into our existing HR Processes*Consult with experts to identify critical capability gaps, assess knowledge flow, and align KM to business priorities*Connect with key thought leaders on advances in Knowledge Management and make recommendations for expanding KM infrastructure to meet business demand*Increase the number of experts with critical skills engaged in Knowledge Management activities*Measure the maturity and effectiveness of Knowledge Management enablers and infrastructure and make recommendations for continuous improvement*Gain business buy-in for utilizing Knowledge Management approaches by articulating the business case and value proposition*Consult with leaders to identify opportunities to incorporate social, informal, and advanced learning techniques to solve business problems and develop our workforceOther duties may be assigned as needed to support the organization.Basic Qualifications*At least five years relevant experience applying Knowledge Management principles to build capability in large organizations *Demonstrated ability to influence others*Experience leading large scale complex initiatives*Experience implementing technology agnostic social learning methods such as Communities of Practice, Expertise Location, Streaming Video, Blogs to develop critical talent segments*Ability to leverage process and collaborative technology to achieve business results *Fully engages and understands customer needs; champion of the customer experience and facilitating process improvement*Ability to create project plans, identify key stakeholders, define criteria for success, and effectively manage scope, teams, and deadlinesDesired skills*Experience leveraging social learning tools to drive knowledge capture and connect experts*Experience applying APQC Knowledge Management Framework*Experience applying LM Proprietary Knowledge Continuity Process*Ability to implement collaboration and social learning techniques to improve business outcomes*Ability to establish Communities of Practice and Expertise Location infrastructure to bring people from diverse disciplines together*Ability to optimize processes by creating efficiencies through workflow, use of collaboration tools, and performance supportAs a leading technology innovation company, Lockheed Martin's vast team works with partners around the world to bring proven performance to our customers' toughest challenges.
