Description The human resources analyst is responsible for performing and providing analysis of various human resources programs and initiatives. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) Leads the research, analysis, testing and implementation of procedures or updates to human resources systems. Partners with HRIS, IT and consultants in resolving system problems. Determines system integration and functionality requirements. Ensures system functionality addresses the needs of the business. Execute project plans for the Oracle HCM implementation, collaborate and coordinate with functional and technical staff to execute; serve as liaison with IT staff in researching and resolving programming problems, file issues and unexpected results and implementing updates. Develops test plans and tracking for various system upgrades and integration projects. Extracts and analyzes data from other Berkshire Hathaway Energy platforms and coordinates with human resources systems for responding to data requests and for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. Assesses training needs, develops curriculum/training materials and conducts training. Provides daily application support including, but not limited to, accuracy of system data,u00a0ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, security access, assigning system access, configuration, system workflow and communication regarding application/system problems and changes to all end users. Supports process improvements initiatives by tracking and reporting on process improvement projects. Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, information technology or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) The human resources analyst position requires three years of experience in human resources related systems and reporting, information technology or a related area which includes system administration and reporting. Previous experience, knowledge of, or exposure to human resources data and workforce planning processes including affirmative action and related compliance reporting is required. Knowledge of MidAmerican Energy Company's computer processes and related applications. Previous experience with applicant tracking systems, HTML and CSS scripting languages is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in software skills to extract and analyze information. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills; ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms, including presentation and training skills. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
