This postion is the HR Business Partner for the Software Engineering Center, accountable for partnering with Senior Directors and ensuring strategic and tactical HR Business support for employees. The selected candidate will be a Key member of the Engineering HR leadership team responsible for providing high-value HR consulting and subject matter expertise to the Software center director and LT. They will lead a team HR Generalists in the execution and implementation of strategies to grow the capability of the organization to perform, increase effectiveness and maximize value for the business with a focus on workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, retention and development, diversity and inclusion, change management, employee relations and leadership effectiveness. He or she will ensure the effective delivery and execution of core HR processes, both directly and through a team of HR professionals. Finally, she or he will regularly consult with Hardware center director and LT on all aspects of the engineering talent strategy and center-specific priorities in direct support of the 1,200 employees.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop successful business partner relationships with Center leaders and HR counterpartsCollaborate with peers and team to ensure consistent implementation of initiatives and processes across all of Engineering and, where appropriate all of SAS, and share best practicesAchieve the demands of the business for qualified talent both now and in the future and maximize organizational capability by implementing strategic talent management processes and leading efforts to acquire and develop talent in support of growth objectives, succession and bench strengthDevelop better managers of talent and change by identifying gaps in leadership competencies and developing strategies to mitigate to ensure team successAdvance organizational effectiveness by championing leadership, team and individual ownership and accountability for creating an inclusive and engaging workplace using applicable HR strategiesExecute HR processes focusing on excellence and adding business value to ensure process efficiency, consistency and disciplineUtilize data to proactively identify and address problem areas related to performance, staffing, retention and employee relationsLead major HR processes or initiatives for the entire Engineering organization, across locationsProvide leadership for HR team, driving accountability and results, coordinating efforts across the team and providing continuous coaching on their growth and developmentThe HR manager role for the Software Center is based in El Segundo, CA and will direct and oversee the activities of 2 HR professionals across geographical regions.The selected individual must be able to quickly build relationships and credibility with all levels of the organization, through disciplined collaboration, effective communication and partnering skills; demonstrate a high degree of business acumen and HR expertise; operate in a highly collaborative environment; and effectively navigate complex organizations and make sound decisions, even when faced with ambiguity. Required Skills: 10 years related human resources experience, with progressively increased responsibility and scopeExperience leading a team of HR GeneralistExperience as an HR strategic business partner/generalist with demonstrated success driving business resultsExperience with a wide array of HR management systems and tools, including talent and performance management, compensation, and rewards systemsStrong HR fundamentals and analytical abilitiesSound leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills and presenceSolid business acumenA track record of passion for high-level, challenging HR consulting work, while maintaining high level of execution of tactical HR process and deliverables in intense multi-tasking role Must be a U.S. Citizen Ability to access US only data systems Required Education (including Major): A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Business Administration, Industrial & Labor Relations, Human Resources or related disciplines U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. 117092
