Job Description
Builds and sustains organizational agility and change management capability for leaders and staff, enabling the rapid adoption of technology, process, organizational and job transformations. Establishes, implements and champions a learning culture and capability that directly supports short and long term organizational, leadership and workforce development requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* (in order of importance)Organizational Development Works directly with business leaders and HR Business Partners to assess and identify the critical business and people issues associated with complex or large scale change management projects and organizational initiatives. Facilitates the design and implementation of reorganization efforts, improvements in team effectiveness and performance and accurately identifies the barriers to change. Develops and delivers targeted organizational, behavioral, structural and process changes that will support the transformation necessary for achievement of business goals and initiatives and allow staff and leaders adapt to and flourish within a rapidly evolving work environment. Assesses leadership and workforce skills and capabilities against future needs. Develops and oversees high impact training and development plans for enterprise, team, leader and staff needs. Works directly with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify top talent and guide development plans and programs. Creates standardized measureable criteria and regularly evaluates results against objectives. Directs and oversees all operations within the organization's training and development function. Leads the development of organizational training policies and programs, creates and manages annual budget and oversees the effective recruitment, retention and engagement of the training team.EDUCATION: (Minimum education & certifications required)* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, a Master's degree is preferred.* Change management certification or designation desired EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)* 10 -- 15 years of increasingly responsible training, organizational development, and change management leadership, including experience with cross-functional high level initiatives and large scale projects.* Healthcare insurance experience strongly preferred. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: (Include interpersonal skills)* Demonstrated knowledge of learning and change management principles, methodologies and tools.* Executive level presentation skills including strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Excellent active listening skills* Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations* Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the organization* Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere* Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal* Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics* Problem solving and root cause identification skills* Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others* Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges* Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel, overtime)* Fast paced office environment handling multiple demands. Moderate use of telephone and extensive use of PC required.* Requires that the individual be organized while being readily adaptable to changes in work priorities. Must be able to work independently.* Office in multi-floor office building. Flexible hours permitted providing the needs of the organization are met.* May require occasional evening or weekend hours as the needs of the organization dictate. May require occasional vendor site visits, or attendance at seminars.
