The Compensation Sr. Consultant will develop, implement, monitor and/or support compensation and performance management programs designed to meet the needs of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Asset Management Group and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Investment Institute within WIM.
This individual will establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with partners in the business and across Compensation, Finance, Risk, and HR leadership to ensure compensation programs enable the business to drive revenue, manage expense, maintain market competitiveness, comply with evolving compensation regulation, and deliver on the team member value proposition. They will exercise independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
Essential Position Functions:
Develops, drives and implements compensation, incentive design and performance management strategies, programs and solutions within a large, complex business proactively identifying trends and complex issues
Leads large compensation initiatives and/or incentive design processes that may have cross functional impact
Partners with compensation governance and other control function teams to ensure strong governance and risk management of incentive plan designs
Partners with HR and the business to develop creative solutions, best practices and process improvements to ensure alignment with WF key organizational goals, in the dual role of trusted business partner and control function
Provides compensation subject matter expertise, consulting, coaching and solutions on complex issues to senior business leaders and HR partners
Leads or participates in compensation processes and projects, as needed
May lead/direct the work of other team members
Location: The preferred location(s) for this job opening are as listed in the job posting (Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA, St. Louis, MO). However, other **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. locations within the US Domestic footprint may be considered for this opportunity.
Required Qualifications:
4 years of consulting experience in compensation, human resources, accounting, or finance
Desired Qualifications:
6 years of compensation experience
Incentive plan design, implementation, and governance experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Experience with variable and incentive compensation
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding incentive compensation and risk management
Ability to manage large scale program initiatives in a complex environment
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking
Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
A BS/BA degree or higher
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
