Tokio Marine HCC - Specialty Group, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Human Resources Assistant in our Wakefield, MA office. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. Additionally, this position will interact with all levels of employees and management within the Specialty Group, other Tokio Marine branch locations as well as the Tokio Marine HCC corporate office. An organized, detail-oriented work ethic is a must. Key Responsibilities:Perform administrative duties in various areas of Human Resources.Maintain personnel and recruiting files in accordance with Company and legal requirements; coordinate off-site storage.Assist in the recruiting process by communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, gathering paperwork, conducting employment background checks and applicant testing, etc.Help organize new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs.May assist in coordinating the performance review process, the annual open enrollment period, and the weekly absences and timekeeping tracking processes.Assist with preparing ad hoc reports and working on special projects, employee event planning, etc. as requested.Coordinate and perform general office support duties in collaboration with other departments.Respond to questions and requests regarding policies and procedures.Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or an equivalent field of study requiredExperience Up to one year of related experience in an office environmentInternship in Human Resources or Business preferredOther Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and proceduresGood written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacyGood organizational and analytical skillsAbility to problem-solve and provide cost effective ideas and solutionsIntermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)Must be able to handle changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
