Role: Workday HRIS Analyst Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 6 months Workday Recruiting implementation project manager CONTRACT The HRIS Analyst provides project management and HRIS support for Accuray’s job architecture, compensation and talent management programs including systems configuration, integrations and reporting. The specific need for this position is implementing Workday recruiting module. This position leads collaboration efforts with HR Management, team members and cross-functional teams to analyze and improve business processes while leveraging the return on process improvement and technical capabilities. This role builds project plans, adheres to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers and management to set process improvement and technology priorities and support long-term planning. Job Responsibilities Facilitate the design and implementation of systems enhancements and integrations in alignment with the HRIS Roadmap specifically workday recruiting module Develop and manage ad-hoc organization-wide reporting and prepare reports on various metrics as needed. Manage the business process integrations with financial and payroll systems Support upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation and overall performance of systems; analyze software releases to assess impact of new features Manage security settings, create new user accounts, update data tables, configure processes and tools, troubleshoot issues, etc. Develop and deliver effective communications and training for users to optimize the effectiveness of systems and tools Develop and implement systems integrations, mass data uploads and interfaces Serve as subject matter expert on future build outs of Workday functionality including defining requirements, configuring solutions, managing testing and validation, documenting process change and training users on new processes and tools Manage data integrity, recordkeeping and records retention and associated audit documentation Maintain and document policies and procedures and updates to Employee Handbooks Support compensation initiatives including salary structure development, merit increase design/implementation, pay-for-performance plans, variable pay programs, and other total rewards initiatives such as benefits benchmarking, preparing total rewards metrics and other projects as assigned. Maintain global job classifications in the HRIS by configuring and managing the data entry process to ensure the position management functions effectively. Develop and maintain the Company’s position description database and update the HRIS as needed including developing PDs and leading initiatives to update and validate existing PDs. Qualifications: Prior experience implanting and supporting Workday recruiting. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems or equivalent education and/or work experience with business systems administration supporting the Human Resources function Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in Human Resources Must have ERP and HRMS application administration experience; (Workday experience strongly preferred - including Time and Attendance, Benefits Administration, Compensation, Performance, etc); Microsoft AX Dynamics experience a plus Experience implementing an HRMS into an existing infrastructure, Workday implementation experience strongly preferred Solid foundation of HRMS design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with application tools Expert user of Microsoft Excel and Access and good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio Desired Competencies / Critical Success Factors Proven competence with development methodologies, QA fundamentals, process documentation and project management; Six Sigma or similar project management certification a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative and ambiguous environment. Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation (including business and system requirements, business process diagrams and data flow diagrams) Technical knowledge and fundamental concepts of databases (preferably MS SQL) and general networking. Report writing skills highly desirable (preferably with Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Reporting) Familiarity with ITIL best practices and SOX compliance. Strong understanding of HR processes Experience in aligning systems and processes to business needs; have an analytical approach to problem solving and logical approach to work Experience/expertise writing business requirements for software solutions Familiarity with systems development lifecycle methodology Excellent data management and analytical skills Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality results Self-starter with organizational and multi-tasking abilities Ability to work cross functionally across many levels of organization Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize own workload and deliver work to deadlines Takes ownership of problems and uses initiative to resolve
