Five – ten hours per week as needed: this position can continue with yearly renewals as long as the student is currently enrolled at UK.
The International Recruitment Team is hiring a student assistant to replace a graduating senior. The new student assistant will be trained in Spring 2018 by this outgoing student and is expected to continue in the position until at least 2019.
Responsibilities will include: Meeting with the International Recruitment Team on a biweekly basis; Data entry and organization of international contacts; Coordinating stock and shipment of recruitment material; Booking meeting space/times for the International Student Ambassador monthly meetings; Writing up the agenda for these meetings and taking minutes; Assigning tasks to Student Ambassadors and verifying that they have been completed; Maintaining the Student Ambassador Facebook page; Communicating with prospective international students
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Organized, timely, communicative, self-starter
- Able to act in a leadership role amongst peers
- Must be adept at navigating social media and online tools
- Good public speaking skills
- International Experience a plus.
- Previous job experience preferred.
