This position will be assigned to our Baltimore - Mt. Washington office but can sit in our Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, or Raleigh office.

','!*!Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma

3 years experience working with retirement plan administration or benefits administration

Strong communication skills

Proficient in MS Office products 

Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Working knowledge of ERISA and IRS Regulations


What will your day look like?

As a Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of the Firm’s qualified retirement plans. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance departments regarding the exchange of data and ongoing plan operations.  You will also function as the main point of contact for Partner and staff retirement inquiries.  You may also assist with general health and welfare inquiries and projects.

Other responsibilities include processing weekly uploads and coordinating changes with Payroll, as well as calculate retirement service dates for rehires. You will assist in annual retirement plan audits and prepare and review monthly reporting on plan data. You will serve as the day-to-day contact for the firm’s 401K recordkeeper, as well as auditing records on a monthly basis, and default participant loans on a quarterly basis. 

You will also assist with required annual notifications to participants. Additionally, you will research and coordinate file errors with the Firm’s Retirement Plan Trustee and the HRMS team.
