Administrative Coordinator II - Human Resources Programs

Position Description
Under general direction of a Human Resources Manager, the incumbent will coordinate activities for various human resources programs, while exercising frequent discretionary authority with infrequent instruction and supervision.  The incumbent will serve as a representative to the HR Division displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, teamwork and professionalism in all interactions with other members of the HCSO, other County constituents and the general public.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates various human resources programs, including but not limited to: health & wellness training, vaccinations, drug & alcohol random testing, financial wellness & 457 savings plan(s), commendations, promotions Coordinates **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Sheriff's Office annual health fair Coordinates administration of wellness training courses including, but not limited to EAP, CPT, AED, Fire/Safety, Sexual Harassment, etc. Responds to Safety inquiries and act as Safety Liaison with HRRM relating to Safety issues and protocol Maintains Bulletin Board with government regulation notices Coordinates all activities associated with Promotions and Commendation programs Participates as HR Representative in Commendations committee Maintains the Certified badging inventory Prepares correspondence and analytical reporting of various programs supported Maintains materials and supplies inventories of items needed for programs supported Performs other special projects and/or duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or business related field and a minimum of three years (3) of professional experience in Human Resources; 
Associates Degree in Human Resources or business related field, along with a minimum of five (5) years of professional administrative experience in an HR environment; 
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and seven (7) years of progressively, professional administrative experience in an HR environment Pass pre-employment HCSO Administrative Staff Skills Test* with a minimum overall score of 85% and score a typing speed of 35 W.P.M with 85% accuracy. Must have a good driving record and the ability to drive a county vehicle to various HCSO sites when necessary Knowledge of Employment laws and practices and of administration of HR programs Knowledge of Human Resources software Critical Evaluation skills Proficient in the use of standard office software programs such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong communications skills - both written and verbal and excellent interpersonal skills Database management and record keeping skills Exhibit a high level of confidentiality Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision Ability to plan, prioritize and balance the work of several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively with various levels of the organization as well as the public Valid Driver's license and auto liability insurance
*Qualified candidates will receive an e-mail request with instructions to take the HCSO Administrative Staff Skills test. Candidates that fail to take the test within the allowed time frame (5 business days from notice) will be disqualified.  

Please note:
The HCSO Administrative Skills Test score can only be taken once, every six (6) months. Existing test scores will automatically upload when applying to any position that requires this test. 
Current HCSO employees will be given preferred consideration if deemed qualified.

40 Hours a Week Monday - Friday  Overtime, Early mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays as required.
